Three Approaches to the Border Crisis

Where Donald Trump describes the border situation in terms of fear and paranoia and Joe Biden’s administration has adopted policies of lassitude and semi-ambivalence, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expresses the current circumstances at the border from the perspective of compassion – as a humanitarian crisis that desperately needs addressing – for the sake of all parties involved.

Hurting Everyone

  – Except for the Drug Cartels

and Human Traffickers

The Border Crisis is affecting inland US cities – straining their resources because of the overflow of undocumented immigrants being dropped into unprepared urban centers, encouraging the abuse of migrants already struggling for survival and disabling union and domestic wage efforts - all while massively enriching and empowering ruthless and murderous drug cartels.

Conflicts, mass-poverty and other crises around the world are driving a flood of desperate migrants to strive for relocating to better lands and the United States is a natural goal to strive for. Unfortunately an overwhelmed border and immigration system have allowed vicious drug cartels to take horrible advantage of the situation.

The cartels and traffickers have essentially offered a route to the US to would-be immigrants from war-torn and impoverished lands around the world – and the disordered state of the US southern border has allowed these same cartels fundamentally ignore national boundaries – maximally exploiting the situation and making billions in the process.

While our poorly regulated borders do allow a number of criminal elements – from drugs to violent miscreants - to easily penetrate into US territory, the most tragic factor of this crisis is the abuse and suffering of struggling migrants desperately striving for a better life for themselves and their families – and very often struggling just to survive.  In the face of the corrupted border situation these immigrants are subjected to the abuses of human traffickers and the cartels, often loosing their life’s savings, enduring rape, kidnapping, beatings and other brutalities along with being forced to act as drug-transport ‘mules’ by their abusers. Then if they do survive and make it into the US as illegal immigrants they’re forced to work for exploitive underpaying employers, face homelessness and will likely end up deported having lost everything they’d sacrificed for.

A Three-Part Strategy to Heal the Crisis

RFK Jr. will implement a three part strategy to end and heal the tragic border situation:

* 3. Emphasize and fully fund the US administrative infrastructure needed to allow for efficient, lawful, orderly and compassionate immigration for those seeking to become part of the nation.

* 3. Emphasize and fully fund the US administrative infrastructure needed to allow for efficient, lawful, orderly and compassionate immigration for those seeking to become part of the nation.

* 1. First - in the short term – as an immediate step – strengthen and secure the border to illegal immigration, drugs and other harmful criminal activities.
