But His Voice
Sounds So Weird..
For more than two decades now RFK Jr has been challenged by a condition known as spasmodic dysphonia. Spasmodic dysphonia is a neurological voice disorder in which spasms of the vocal folds strains and limits a person's voice.
During Interviews Bobby will often say, "I feel sorry for the people in your audience who have to listen to me. But this is the best I’ve got right now."
RFK Jr. underwent a specialized surgery in Japan last year and as a result of that and vocal therapy training his voice has been steadily improving through the months of the campaign. His voice is still rather awkward sounding but so much better than recordings that you can listen to from just four months ago.
Arguably, One of the last/most recent US Presidents to really deeply improve the state of the nation was Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) who ran for office despite being stricken by debilitating 'Polio' leg paralysis and related conditions.
RFK Jr's voice condition has certainly made it more challenging for him to get his ideas across but simultaneously emphasizes his courage in stepping up when the nation really needs him - despite the extra challenge of his health condition.
