And Working With
Veterans

Beyond preserving veterans’ benefits and improving the efficiency of the Veterans Administration RFK Jr. plans to greatly enhance the voice that veterans have in US foreign and military policy – even creating an executive President’s Veterans Council (PVC).

“The stark absence, except in rare circumstances, of input from veterans in the more extensive debate about the US role in the world is improper, and when he is President, Mr. Kennedy will change this on day one.”

“Since the terrorist attacks on 9/11, American servicemen and women have been called upon to support a state of near-perpetual war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Unlike any period of conflict in American history, these wars have been fought by an all-volunteer force, of which 77% deployed twice or more.”

“Mr. Kennedy embraces this sacrifice made by veterans to the country, your sense of honor, and your desire to serve.”

Mr. Kennedy knows that because they’ve been directly on the front lines of combat and served as the “gears and cogs” in the American military industrial machine veterans have uniquely direct insight into the effectiveness and wisdom of US foreign policies as well as the corrupt practices of parasitic corporate profiteers.

Bobby understands that although military personnel have often been misused and manipulated by the military industrial corporations that continue to manufacture wars for profit - this insider real world experience puts veterans in an ideal position to weigh in on how the military might be best administered and corporate influences best regulated.

“...veterans have first hand knowledge of the waste and fraud endemic to the government contracting system, and ideas of how to fix it.”

Preserving and Improving the VA and Elevating Veterans to Positions of Leadership

Mr. Kennedy will maintain the benefits that service-people have earned through their years of sacrifice for their country - as well as empower veterans to help make the Veterans Administration institution more effective in meeting their needs and best enhance their chances for post-service happiness and prosperity.

Because the qualities of “leadership, fairness, discipline, and accountability,” are particularly cultivated by military service President Kennedy will encourage and make way for veterans to take on roles in community and business leadership.

The new Veterans Council in President Kennedy’s Executive Office will be empowered to quickly respond to important veteran’s issues and bypass the bureaucracy of the Veteran’s Administration (VA) to effectively implement solutions.  Additionally the head of the PVC will also have a seat on the National Security Council to contribute the knowledge of their direct experience in any forthcoming wartime situations.

“No one knows more about the sprawling global military presence than the veterans who have implemented the policies that have built it.  America has a role, but that should put the security of America and her citizens first, and no one knows better what that should look like than her veterans.”
